Flexibility is a key measure of our customer service. We are committed to offering our customers a reliable and efficient service, from receiving the order to delivering the material. The ability to offer a wide range of board grades, flute profiles and specialist materials is also a key feature of our supply package.
We deliver throughout the UK and across the rest of Europe, with more than 50% of our orders taken, administered and delivered in less than 24 hours. In some cases, we also offer the facility to place orders up to 9 o’clock in the evening for delivery as early as 6 o’clock the following morning. Orders can be placed electronically through EDI or a 24hour contact facility is available for customers who require a round the clock service and our sales office is open five days a week from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
We offer a range of delivery options, from trailer drops and call-offs to timed deliveries. The key benefit for customers using the trailer drop option is enhanced storage – as we deliver a full trailer, leave it and subsequently collect the empty trailer when we drop off the next delivery. Thus the customer gains additional storage space and benefits from the board being on-hand exactly when it’s needed, even in the middle of the night!
If a number of deliveries are due into a customer in one day, we offer a call-off facility whereby customers can specify the contents of each individual trailer and the order in which they arrive. We also offer timed deliveries to give even greater flexibility.
As we pride ourselves on offering a consistently high level of customer service, we measure our performance in terms of the percentage of orders that are delivered OTIF (On-Time-In-Full), in addition to monitoring a number of other key performance indicators.
As a further commitment to improving and maintaining customer service standards, we have initiated a VIP Customer Service Programme. The aim of the programme is to assess current services levels and identify areas for improvement. As a result of distributing staff and customer surveys, we now have a clearer understanding of both our strengths and weaknesses and are in the process of implementing a number of operational improvement schemes.
The quality of the service we offer is matched by the quality of the products we produce. Many of our products can be tailor-made to match our customers’ exact requirements from Norboard, our specialist microfluted range, through to our conventional corrugated board.
We are compliant with a number of key business accreditations including:
• Investors In People.
• BS EN ISO 9001:2000
• NVQ assessment centre
• BRC/IOP hygiene accreditation - category A
